The Doors of Reality

By Jayden Kyryluk

You are not what you think you are; you are what you think.

So be careful how you speak to yourself, for you are always listening and always believing. If you wish to escape or change your reality, first recognize that you created it. Much like prison, your current reality is of your own making, and the first step to freedom is acknowledging that you are trapped. There is no chance, coincidence, or accident in where you are right now. Not only are you exactly where you are supposed to be, but you are exactly where your thoughts brought you. You rise as high as your dominant aspirations and you descend to the level of your lowest concept of yourself.

The infinite intelligence within you responds to your thoughts. Every thought you plant in the garden of your mind becomes part of your reality. As the Buddha said, “all that we are is the result of what we have thought. We are made of our thoughts. We are moulded by our thoughts. As we think, so we become.” Feed your mind with positive thoughts, and they will bloom into positive actions and habits. Feed it with negativity, and your well-being will reflect it. Good or bad, your thoughts hold power, shaping your life and the world around you. They hold our intention with ourselves, the universe, and represent our subconscious beliefs.

Beyond the misconceptions of the mind lies a truth we often fail to fully experience. While this truth is ever present, and created by ourselves, we lack the awareness to see it and to experience it. We go on, day by day, living in a world of our own making. As we think at night so we think in the morning, and so it goes on. Like a conveyor belt, the way we see the world at this moment impacts the way we see it in the next.

What can we do? First, recognize that you create your reality. In surrendering to this truth, you realize your power. You are constantly planting seeds that will become thoughts, then actions, and finally your future. And so the conveyor belt goes. Use this power wisely—plant good thoughts, and they will grow into good habits. One seed at a time, and your life will transform. In the end, you are the director of your life.

The nature of reality is within. Free your mind and your reality will follow, but behind it all, there you are.
